The problem today here in the United States is that you are legally an adult upon turning the age of 18, but you can not consume alcohol. Legally, the drinking age should be 18, this follows the responsibilties of an adult under the constitution such as; buying tobacco products, fighting/ serving for America in the military, voting, etc. Lowering the drinking age will also keep kids out of legal trouble. Kids would not have to partake in activities where drinking is involved in an unsafe and unsupervised manner. If the legal drinking age was lowered, kids would not have to hide their liquor and they could drink in more public places where there is supervision, law enforcement and other ways of making sure drinking is done safely.
